New to the forum and I am hoping for a bit of help.
I am having a few issues with my 2000 Ford Ranger, 4.0 XLT. 250,000 miles. I think it may be a bad intake manifold gasket or possibly head gasket. I just changed the head gasket last year.
- My coolant temperature fluctuates, sometimes overheating and sometimes it does not.
- Lately it has been blowing white smoke from the exhaust, and a strong smell of coolant.
- coolant coming from PCV valve, going into my air filter.
- When I pulled the plug on cyl number 6, coolant came out of the spark plug hole, and also a bit of oil on threads.
- Have an engine light on that reads P0306, which is a cylinder miss fire, but that cylinder reads one of the highest pressure gradient.
I have done a compression test, which shows all cylinders are relatively good. Between 115- 135 PSI. Here is what compression results look like from my engine, done with a battery charger on the battery and 5 cranks.

From what I can tell, the head gasket is ok, but I am not sure. Leaning towards intake manifold gaskets.
