i own a 1994 stx 4.0 and it will idle very low, around 400-600rpm and sometimes it wont start. when it is running it seems to spit when i barely push the accelerator and other times it runs like an Olympian. any advice would be appreciated. the air filter is clean and the fuel pump/sending unit was replaced under 5 months ago. i have pressure in the fuel rail. im unsure of the exact pressure i have or what is needed. i can keep it running on starting fluid if i spray it in through the "air flow tube" i dont know the technical name here but the mass airflow sensor lets air through this and when you push the accelerator it opens up the motor letting more air through. if i remove the hose from the motor i can keep it running on starting fluid. suggestions,comments, and solutions would be greatly appreciated
