Default Battery light problem/command start problem

So recently my truck has been acting really weird. When I command start it in the morning to warm it up it comes on fine but turns off after a minute or so and then starts itself up again and does this in a never ending loop. So I thought that was really weird and then when I was driving and I got onto the highway and booted it to get up to speed my battery light came on and when I got up to speed and stayed steady at that speed my battery light stays on. In the city it comes on at 70km/h and only goes off if I get below that speed or touch the brakes.
Any ideas as to what this would be caused by?
My classmates tell me the alternator's poohing out but I'm hoping there's a simpler explanation.
Oh yeah, the battery is 2 months old and my truck is an 07 4.0L.

That is a very common sign of a dying alternator. In short, it can't handle the higher RPM and that can vary with electrical load. You'll find the RPM it fails at will get lower and lower over time.

As for the remote starter shutting it off after a minute and restarting, that's weird. It could easily be related to the alternator problem, so I would fix that and see if the other problem goes away.

Thank you for the quick reply, Matt. I will try to get my hands on a new alternator. I sure hope the command start problem is related to the alternator, as this command start was just put in brand new at christmas time by a credible shop.

If it still has issues after the alternator is fixed, strong arm the shop into fixing that shit. It should be under warranty still.
