I was wondering is there a way I can adjust the throttle cable on my 4.0L Ranger since I put a throttle body spacer that I made on it to test. I forgot to plug my TPS back in before I started the truck, is that bad?

Yes. Take the useless throttle body spacer off and it will be back to normal. You're adding absolutely nothing with that thing. It's a fake mod.

I was going to ask if it was worth putting a throttle body spacer on....but I guess not..

oops! 2000 4x4 4.0 8.8 3.73 gears 7 inches of lift 4 suspension and 3 body. 33x12.50.15 bfg all terrains. CB MORE TO COME. IMO im always right.

Just found the problem, had to put 1" spacers behind the throttle cable holder plate. The best thing is, I didn't buy the spacer, I machined in out of 3/4" Aluminum plate.

Best. Advice. Ever. - The whole throttle spacer thing is indeed a gimmik, they are taking an idea that was started out on carburated or TBI vehicles (which actually work on those and prevent vapor lock, Fuel evaporating in the carb instead of going into the engine) and trying to use it on a throttle body implementing the same idea. Of course fuel injected vehicles do not need the throttle body to be cooler because fuel is not injected at the throttle body.

Others claim that they "Swirl" the air allowing the aircharge to become more dense, thus allowing more fuel and power. The intake system and heads do just fine swirling the air, in fact most vehicles do this to ensure a proper fuel mixture in the cylinder.

Do not buy them, save your money.
