First startup is great, ranger runs perfect, doesnt stumble or stall and still turns the tires over, all untill I turn it off and then no re-start. The starter cranks untill the battery runs down. If- it only runs for a few minutes and then I shut it off I may get it to restart once by holding the gas pedal to the floor untill it chugs to a start (the gas smell is horrific like flooding a carb vehicle) otherwise I have to wait at least 1 to 2 hours before it will start again. I can push start and it runs every single time no matter how long its been running. I have spark@plugs and fuel@rail during this no-start condition, and I assume compression is good since it will always run. The only Code I have is P1401 DPFE High. I have yet to test the DPFE but I doubt this would have anything to do with the no-start. Any ideas would be appreciated.

How many miles are on it?

Cleaning the intake system can sometimes help this issue. Otherwise it could be just time for a tune up.
