alright, so on my 4.0L V6, when i go to start it, it takes anywhere from 2 seconds-8+ seconds to start up, and idk why? Maybe a fuel pump? starter problem?

i noticed my 3.0 does that when its cold out (0-20f)

Yeah, may the fuel pump if it's taking that long all the time. Does it take that long every time, or does it start normally if you've just shut it off, like when you stop and get gas then take back off?

On mine, the fuel pump was going bad, and the fuel would drain back into the tank after it sat a while, so the pump would have to pump for quite a while to get it back to the engine.
