Default rough idle and high idle?

hey guys i picked up my ranger a couple months ago and ever since i have owned it, i been having some issues. It idles pretty rough and surges at idle pretty bad, also the truck seems to idle around 1050 = 1100 even after the truck is warm, to me that just seems way to high. The things that i have replaced are the IAC,TPS,EGR valve,EGR tube, cleaned the MAF sensor, and changed the air filter. the truck was tuned up right before i bought it . it is throwing zero codes, any help would be appreciated . thanks

I would try a reman Mass Air Flow Sensor. They can be bad and not have the MIL come on. Cleaning will not repair a bad MAF.

check all your vacuum lines for cracks/holes.
Is your idle surging with the climate controls OFF? Mine surges pretty bad too but only when my heater/AC are on.

It will surge all the time regardless if the climate control is off or on. i have checked the vacuum lines. the only thing i havent check is the manifold gasket, i heard some times that is a problem. i will go back and double check everything though.

clean it first, drive a tank of gas and see what MPGs are then. if worst then 16. you may wanna look into getting another one.

Your IAC valve might need adjusting, cleaning or replacing. That's one of the problems that I encountered over the years on every ranger that I've owned in the past.

well i cleaned the MAF sensor again and it seems to have lowered my idle down to around 800-900 once its warm which that makes me happy. its running a little rough down the road but im sure that will clear up after i run it for a little while. i will let you guys know the results
