Default 1994 Engine turns off randomly, 198K

I'm new to the forums, and was glad to find you guys. My mechanic has not been able to find a solution, as a matter of fact it hasn't turned off while he was test driving.

So here is the deal, a week ago after warming her up, I pulled out of my drive drove about 100' and she shut off. ?? I rolled back (I was driving up a slight incline) tried to pop the cluck and stop, nothing. So I sat for a min turned pulled the fuse for the wipers (condensation that morning) (the wipers are always stuck on, so I put the fuse in to turn on the wipers, been that way for about 6 weeks), turned off the radio, and heat/fan. Waited a few minutes and she started right back up.

No problems until yesterday.

It was a foggy day, so the wipers were on again. I made it out of the neighborhood, about three miles, turned off again (I was driving downhill about 50mph). Turned everything off including wipers waited a few mins and she started back up. Drove another few miles, sitting in traffic on level ground, turned off again. She started up before everyone started moving, so I pulled over waited for a couple lights with the engin running. She never shut of so I went on my way.

Before I go further I was on my way to work and my mechanic is right near the office, so that is where I was headed at this point. The volts never dropped on the battery gage and when the engine was off and key was still in the on position, the light stayed on, the radio, the fan, etc.

Less than a mile later, downhill this time, she shut off again. It was not a high traffic road, so I coasted for a bit, and then she started up. That was the last time before I got to the shop.

My mechanic drove it a few times yesterday and she never turned off. I picked her up to head home after work and she shut off right after I left the shop. So I headed back to the shop and my mechanic let it run for about thirty minutes trying different things, and she never shut off.

I never tried to leave the lights, radio, wipers, and fan on after she shut off and sit for a while to see if she would start back up.

So this was my first post and it was a long one. I hope I don't bore you all with this problem.

If anyone has come across something like this, or has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks.

(the wipers are always stuck on, so I put the fuse in to turn on the wipers, been that way for about 6 weeks) This kinda stands out for me, have you mentioned it to the mechanic? Random electrical problems are sooo much fun.

Yes he knows ... I really wish she would die and I could try starting her up with the fuse in. I did once, but I don't think I had waited very long.

This sure is a random electrical problem.
