Coupla things to try . First one is fun. The Italian tuneup. Put the stick in 2 and take a 1/2 hr run up the local highway. You are trying to decarbonize the combustion chambers. Also there is a process called a hot soak where after the IT, you pull the plugs and pour solvent into the cylinders . Put the plugs back in let it sit over night. Remove the plugs, lay rags on the holes and crank the engine over to expell solvent. Also there is sucking solvents or plain water into the vacuum , but this runs the risk of hydrolocking . Last but mot least, run a compression test. If you have a low cylinder, then most likely, it is a burned exhaust valve.
