i ihave a 1993 ford ranger with a 4.0 and is 4x4. i have been having a problem with no power to the fuel pump. i have narrowed it down to the pcm, i was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the pcm so i can take it out and have it rebuilt

I did not know that they could be rebuilt, BUT to remove it, 1) take out the screw in the middle of the connector, 2) unplug the connector from it, 3) remove two nuts holdingf it to the firewall, 3) pull it out. Located on the passenger side, under the hood right by the heater blower motor. hope this helps. This was from my Haynes manual that covers 1993 to 2010 Rangers and Mazda, best $15.00 I ever spent.

your guess is as good as mine, never done it so I don't know what that screw threads into, was it already loose or tight to start with ? just thinking that it might not come out, that you just loosen it and unplug the connector.
