Front of the engine down by the crank pulley. Bolts are torqued to 89 in/lb

It was easy. I was just taking a stab that it would fix my problem. Well it did not.

When the engine is cold I have to crank a lot and then when it does start it acts like it is flooded. Sometimes it starts right up but if I turn it off and try to restart it I have to crank a lot and it will finally start but again acts like it is flooded.

I had the Idle air control sensor replaced about three weeks ago. Same thing was happenning about 8 months ago and that time it set a code and they claimed it was the intake gasket.

I had it at Ford last week for 5 days and it never acted up.

any ideas?

sounds like the fuel pressure check valve isnt doing what its supposed to so when your truck sits for a while its allowing the fuel pressure to bleed off...try this...next time your truck is cold cycle the key about 3-4 times and see if it starts easier
