It's gonna die tomorrow, might as well give it to me...........

On a serious note, yeah, the 4.0 OHV is a beast of a motor, and like most Ford engines, will last forever if properly maintained. I had a '67 289 last over 230K, without burning a drop of oil. Try doing 80K without burning oil on a Chevy.

I along with most everyone on here... I'am Very familiar with MY Ranger and MY motor... i know what i tow, how i drive, how long i let it warm up... ext.

Are you looking for some reassurance? A genial rub on the back? 4.0L is a great motor, but there is no way for anyone to tell you how long. Watch the fluids, replace parts as need.

Good luck man. I hope it runs forever
