Default Starter relay, On the starter or in the fusebox?

Having an issue with the starter actuating while driving, Had to replace starter twice in 1 month. its sporadic, so today, I was driving after having the ignition module replaced as well as some suspected wiring that may be shorting. Problem went away for approx. 100 miles. then it happened again. so I went to the fusebox under the hood over the left fenderwell and pulled relay #6. The starter stopped actuating and the truck continued to run ok. I shut it off reinserted the relay and restarted the truck, the starter started to actuate on its own again so I pulled the relay and the noise stopped. I am now required to insert the relay 1st then then start the truck then run back to the relay box under the hood and quickly remove the relay then I can drive as normal. That relay is not available at Auto Zone/Pep Boys/O'Reilly ect. any tips? thanks. DR

**Bypass the starter relay**
This truck has a well hidden short somewhere in the Loom. Due to the age and value I am considering just bypassing the starter relay circuit and installing a Pushbutton start on the dash, The issue will allow me to keep driving without dropping more money in it that I need to deal with on other parts of the truck, Wheel Bearings/seals, vacuum leak in intake, heater core. ect. I really use the crap out of this truck and it doesnt want to die. just getting persnickity as it starts its 13th year of operation. any thoughts out there?, be nice even though its kind of a Ghetto Fix.
