All... I got one of each 3.0L Ranger and a 4.0L SOHC 2002 Sport Trac. I just dropped a valve in the ST and put a hole in the piston and then cylinder wall. So the question is, does anyone know the difference of a 2001 /2002 Ranger 4.0SOHC. vs. the Sport Trac. On Ebay they do not appear to interchange, Yet I can find the Ranger 4.0L SOHC for less money and less miles.

if i'm not mistaken they are the same engine.... you will just have to change over your mounts and sensors(not sure on this) and you should be good to go.... ebay also states that a header panel from a 01 will not fit on a 98....
