okay so i have a 4.0l ohv with just over 105,000. And i just want to look at my options and costs to drop a manual tansmission in off of a donor car at a local junk yard. How easy is this swap? Is it really worth the trouble? After driving a buddies 3.0l manual i am seriously considering this. Any help or knowledge is appreciated. Thanks

Computer from a 98-00 truck same as yours just 4x4 manual. The trans and tail shaft housing from a 4x4 4.0l also get the trans wiring harness the plugs are different but same wiring. Your gonna need a mustang auto floor shift steering column cover. Um floor plate and shifter bezel, pedal box. Um all the hydro clutch pieces. New flywheel. Um I know I am forgetting something. Also if your truck has pats your gonna have to have a dealer reflash the pats to work

Yes a few people. One of them the thread doesn't exist anymore and there is one more I know that does on R/F you would have to search for it
