You need to be a lot more specific to get an answer....

What is your coolant temp?
What is ambient temp?
Dies while driving or in park?
A/C on?

..........give every detail you can; the one liners are only good in comedy shows (sometimes)

Something is odd here then. Your original post stated that your "manifold gets hot", does this mean more than normal scince you noticed it? Also, with the cat, I didn't think that flowmaster made cats, so I went to the site to verify it, and they don't. If you did a cat-back system this does not include your cat. So, it is possible that it is still your cat if your manifold appears to be "hotter" than normal.

But the general behavior of your problem could suggest more than just one issue. For it to get that hot during the day, but run fine at night is a little strange.

You will have to start scratching things off the list for anybody on here to help you pinpoint the real problem. Did you already check your coolant level, thermostat, and water pump? Make sure your cooling fans are engaging?

Its an aftermarket cat i forget what it is I bought it off a guy who said it was a flowmaste but i guess I should have done my research and no the truck is perfectly cool but the manifold gets so hot you can't touch it.

Did this start doing it before or just right after you installed the cat?
