Default how to remove thermostat?

trying to remove the thermostat on 94 4.0 ranger. tips please?

Remove the bolts from the thermostat hosing and remove then pull out the thermostat.

The thermostat housing is found by following the upper radiator hose.

^ and drain your coolant before you do this lol

you'll also want to remove your intake hose to get access to the tstat housing

Thank you guys. It was a PITA taking those bolts off. The thing that sucks is that didnt solve my gauge problem. The temp gauge only goes up to the first line, even after running for a while. Think its the temp sending unit?

it could be the temp sending unit... or it could be a short in the wire not allowing it to read fully or the guage has went bad......
