Default HELP please.

My dad has a 2000 mazda with the 4.0 ohv, the other day the fuel gauge died and today the truck stopped running. My guess is the fuel pump and sender went bad. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Default Re: HELP please.

Easiest way to get to the pump is tilt the bed up rather than dropping the tank. I'm not sure if your setup is the same as mine, but the pump and sending unit are all one piece. There's a big locknut holding everything in the tank, just unscrew that, unplug the two lines and the wires, pull the old sending unit out and put it back together in reverse. Shouldn't take longer than an hour depending on if the bed bolts are rusted tight (PB is your FRIEND!)
