Not only noise, but the front end will sway more than usual during turns - who would have guessed that would happen when the "sway bar link" breaks or wears out the bushings?

While it doesn't pose any immediate danger - you can drive it - get it fixed soon.

Getting the old one off with a torch is easiest.

The OEM link is a piece of plastic with threaded inserts that a nut fits onto, and on my truck, the left link snapped on the plastic part.

Good luck on your repair.

----------

BTW, you may want to upgrade to an aftermarket all metal part when you replace.

The link isn't all that expensive. I think mine was about $20.00 CDN and that was a no-name part.

Moog parts, FWIW, have a lifetime warranty, so if you're keeping the truck for a long time, that's the way to go.

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly

3. Remove the front stabilizer bar link nuts from the front suspension lower arms.

4. Remove the front stabilizer bar link bolts and the front stabilizer bar links.

5. Remove the front stabilizer bar.

1. Remove the four bolts and two brackets.
2. Remove the front stabilizer bar.
3. Remove the stabilizer bar insulator.

Installation

Note: In the event the self-tapping bolts cannot be installed in the frame, there is a kit available with flag nuts; consult your parts department for further information.

Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Thats just a sway bar link bushing. You can do it yourself no problem man. Take the bolts off the top, then unscrew it from under the lower control arm. Swap in the new bushing then put it back in reverse order. Easier than it sounds

Yeah the pics I posted are taking the sway bar out. If your just doing the ends its a lot easier and faster.
