Default having trouble starting and running

so my truck will not start without starter fluid. it trys and almost turns over but jus wont make. I thought it was the fuel pump so i repolaced it and the filter and still does the same thing. also once it does start with starter fluid it will not go past 1900 rpm and bogs down. not sure what the problem is.

does anyone have a clue?

i was also thinking its either the fuel pressure regulator or maybe some weird issue with the trans (auto) bc it wont shift bc the rpms dont get up high enough. someone please help

Default Re: having trouble starting and running

after having it running with starter fluid and having it bogged out pull your spark plugs and see if they are wet or dry. this will let you know if it fuel problems or not. if its dry you have fuel problems. if its wet there's a possibly it is a electrical problem.
