dont forget to antiseize the plugs

Not since the 1970's ...

Virtually all newer vehicles run very close to ideal mixture when in closed loop because that's what the three-way cats need to do their job.

The plug in the picture looks just fine.

I can't think of any good reason to replace a new Motorcraft coil with a Screamin Demon.

Agreed. The plugs in your truck, like mine are copper-core nickel plugs, figure on replacing them next year, re-gap, small dab of anti-seize and re-install for now would be my advice.
