Default Four wheel drive
I have a 97 ranger 6cyl 4L, the 4wheel high and 4wheel low lights keep blinking on the dash, i checked the plug to the four wheel drive switch and made sure the switch had continuity, i have no idea what it could be, has anyone had this problem and figured out what it was?

is there a loose sensor associated with the transfer case?

When i flip the switch, i dont even here differential kick on or even make a noise.

Hmm my buddies explorer did the exact same thing. Ive heard a $20 sensor goes out on them. But I have no clue how to check it or replace it.

if it has an electronic transfer case, it could be the electronic shift motor
