spark plugs
im going today to get my new plugs. what kind should i get? i kinda want nice ones, does it make a diffrence?

I have hear the NGK ones are bad

Motorcraft.
If anything other than motorcraft, get Autolite Double Platinums. Your part # is APP5144.
Don't forget to gap them.

i'd only put ford motorcrat plugs in, i've had ngk's brake off and mess things up so i'll never use them in anything again..

The only Ranger motor to get NGKs is the Duratech 2.3. In that case, NGK Irridiums are a direct factory replacement. For all other motors in the Ranger, Motorcraft Platinums, or Autolite Double Platinums.

double platinum, finewire plat., or single plat.? for the motorcraft

i just threw some e3 diamond fire plugs in my 86 2.3 and it seems to have a littel more pep and im gettin better mpg

e3 = JUNK in newer engines...
RangerLuc, I believe Ford put in single plat's from the factory. I got a part number somewhere...just gotta find my pics.
