Question Reving Problem

I was having a problem with the engine reving at 2k after driving at high speeds for a prolonged time when coming to a stop, I replaced the TPS and I'm still having the same problem but now it's worse, It will sometimes stay reving at 2k even when I have come to a complete stop. Any ideas?

mine does this every now and then... i asked my mechanic about it and he told me that i wasn't letting my truck idle down after i first start it... he said that fords are problematic for this.... don't know if that's the real rason for it... but since i have tried to let my truck idle down whenever possible and it doesn't do it when i have the chance to do so....

My truck does the same thing. I was told it might be the egr, but my truck doesnt have one. Mine will stay reving sometimes after i stop for 3 or 4 seconds.

Yeah, my truck lets me know it doesn't like to be driven if I don't let it "warm up". So I let it rev down every time I start it, and I'll still get the same problem. I'm going to take FireRanger's advice and try cleaning the Throttle body and the IAC. Everything in the engine looks original, so it probably wouldn't hurt
