Default Snorkel?

I go muddin alot now and im wanting to make my own snorkel but not sure if i can or how to do it? So i need suggestions thanks

I hate sucking water and mud. If you come up with something that is factory ish im sure alot of us would be interested. Mods using dryer ducting dont cut it for me..

I want to retain he factory airbox and have thought about switching the coolant washer box with the air box positions and blocking the air intake from the front of the truck and piping the intake into the cowl.

just an idear..

just an idear..
in my 90 thats how i did mine. i just got an airbox from a newer explorer with the cylindrical filter, clamped a 4" duct to the end and then used a hole saw to put it in the cowl. just make sure you use a 90 degree pvc angle in the cowl or you will suck in water everytime it rains
