The fuse for your datalink port is blown. Look in your manual, it is the one noted as "power point and datalink" or something.

What tuner do you have and did you get custom tunes?

Re: Looking for the best tuner for my Ranger! Need input.
I too have been seriously considering a tuner. I read somewhere that the SCT allows you to take advantage and custom tune to whatever aftermarket parts you may have (Exhaust, headers, CAI etc). I can't wait to see how my Ranger responds to it!

Re: Looking for the best tuner for my Ranger! Need input.
Really? I've never read a negative review. Everyone on every ranger forum I've been on that has used them has repeated real measurable repeatable actual improvements in performance and/or mpg depending on the tune used. I'm going to be getting one myself soon too.
And coming from me, that says a lot. As many will attest, I tend to snipe BS fake improvements quite vocally.

Re: Looking for the best tuner for my Ranger! Need input.
When I got mine I noticed about 2 MPG gain with just a performance tune. that isnt even for the economy tune which I have yet to get... I did notice it seemed like I had more power and smoother shifts after tune
I have a SCT that I bought used with Bama tunes on it that just happened to work with my truck.

i have a used one from my mustang, i wonder if the canned tunes would work with the ranger, i know the custom ones are for the mustang, but there is also reg SCT tunes, i wonder if it would work for all ford vehicles.
