Default 4.0 performance

i want to get some more power from my 4.0 and i have already put a cold air intake and exhaust. Anyone have any ideas?

haha i was thinking turbo but not sure. you know somewhere that sells a supercharger for my year 4.0?

yea little tricky finding some decent performance parts. thanks for the input tho. V8 swap was in the plans but i would have to save a little money first. lol

as far as i know their is no supercharger in producton any more for the 4.0 ohv engine.. the only way to get one is find a used bbk are eaton supercharger kit.. are go custom..

you can get an aftermarket ignition system, bigger throttle body, port and polish the heads, all kinds of stuff, just depends what you wanna do and how much time money and skill you have...

Chip or programmer would be my 1st choice. Headers would be next combined with porting and polishing the heads.

Performance mods that actually increase power do so at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) just shy of redline. Under what circumstances are you doing that now and not getting the results you need?

A programmer is the best bang for the buck. You can make up for some of the cost by selling the intake

i have decent power just doesn't keep it going very well through the gears. noticably after 1st it doesn't get up very quick. any recommendations on a programmer?

bud of mine from highschool put a superchip on a a 99 (i think) he loved it, and it would fly.

94 is before OBDII so it might be a bit harder to find one
