Now I know not to do this rebuild on mine.

excuse me? ever rebuild engine before? its pretty common with old seals.

lets see here my truck was not drive-able in its condition before I rebuilt it. So send it to the junk yard or rebuild the engine. If you would like to junk your truck then I don't care. and good luck finding a used decent mileage one being the engine hasn't been used since 2000. Or really have fun buying a Box engine from Ford for around $7000.

its pretty common on some engines that the top end is junk build and the bottom end is a beast. Tons of 350 chevy also have these problems. No issues with the rest of the engine and no metal flakes in the oil from crank bearings.

Oh I thought that's what you paid for paint and primer or whatever. You can do it yourself can't you?

Just rebuilt my top end, FML that was not a fun experience, I farmed it out because I don't have a nice dry shop like you, but jebus I did a number on it.
