Default Blown motor with a newer replacement?

So I have a 96 ford ranger xlt with a 4.0 and a 5 speed. The truck spun a bearing on cyl 4. The question I have is I have a 4.0 from a 99 truck. Planning on just using the block and heads from the 99 and swapping everything else from the 96 to the 99.

I went to go put the flywheel on and found out that the old motor was a 6 bolt crank and the new motor is an 8 bolt. Everything else looks the same can I just grab an 8 bolt flywheel bolt my clutch on and continue swapping everything over?

Like I said I plan on using jut the block and heads from the 99 and everything else from the 96
