Default My 98 Ranger 4.0

So, in my intro I said I just purchased a 98 4x4 which engine was replaced with a 60,000 mile engine 4.0. I decided to replace the spark plugs with OEM's, change the fuel filter, changed the oil and oil filter, I had to get a new receiver drier for the A/C since mine was damaged at one of the hose connections.

I just dropped it off at the shop to be done. I noticed yesterday and on the way over there at a stop light while at idle the RPM's seemed to be at around 800. Does that seem right? It felt like it wasn't getting enough power and didn't like being above 2000 rpm while in motion. It seemed like maybe I was getting a misfire while at idle and in motion. Also my gas mileage seems to be horrible?

Should what I replaced fix what's going on?

800 rpm at idle is about right. Now if the A/C was on, that would be a bit low. The engine idle should kick up some when it's on.

No the A/C wasn't on. It's not working right now. I guess I'll see how it runs after these changes have been made.
