I did on my 06 4.0. same motor. Its small star screws that I stripped out lol. I just ended up taking vise grips to them and taking them out. I replaced them with #10 Phillips head screws. They dont actually screw into the Sensor. They pass through metal sleeves in the sensor and just screw into plastic. The factory screws have cutter threads on them so they can screw into the plastic. So take them out and replace them with anything really as long as it is near the same size. They just need to fit though sensor holes.
The sensor has to go on a certain way. when you go to put it on hold the sensor in position, just push the throttle down a little bit until the paddle on the throttle lines up with the slot on the sensor. slide it on and screw her down and clip the connector back on
