Default Anyone know quarter mile or 0-60 on an '08 Ranger (4.0 V6) or power to the wheels?

A friend of mine has that truck and says it's faster than my '07 Cobalt SS/SC, i have my doubts but am still curious to see what that truck can do if anybody knows
both completely stock, i know i will demolish the truck, i'm just curious how bad it will be

The true question you didn't say is, " Can my Cobalt beat my friends Ranger?"

Take your Cobalt to the Drag Strip.. if you dare, ask your friend to bring his truck and RACE! You will find your answer and have fun too. This is the safest way to find your answer.
Is either vehicle altered? Even different tires would change the manufacturer's recorded speeds.

Have you tried looking in a magazine? Overall why would it really matter? Transmission, engine, rear axle ratios, how much fuel in the tank (weight) all affect this. I have a friend nearly 40yrs old always claiming outrageous stuff about whatever car he likes, as long as its the car he likes. Because the other ones he don't like which may be faster, qwicker, whatever well he don't like them. So when he talks to me about his so called dream cars which none he own, it doesn't matter. And just because you so called race someone at the stoplight and won by what 6ft? You surely don't have the fastest car, truck, or moped, etc.,.. I've seen cars with leaf springs run into 8 sec 1/4 mile times you think if a lil kid rode his bike in front of you that you're going to stop in time? Or the young thug who drove past me on the freeway the other night in the rain and lost control and ran into the freeway divider at over 80mph is gonna cry to his mom why he wrecked her car as I leisurely drove by at 60mph and looked at the dumb look on his face as I flashed a nice smile and thought its so nice to go home safely after work.

Hmmm... well since someone else brought it up... I raced my '08 4.0 4x4 Ranger w/ BL & 33s & 3.73s against my brothers '06 Cobalt SS S/C........ I won't say what the outcome was 'cause I'm sure it's obvious... but I will say I did a HELL of a lot better than I thought I would!!!

More power and probably a good 1000 lbs. lighter. So obvious, I think it's funny the question was even asked.
