Angry Problem accelerating

Been a while since I've been on here but anyways fellas, I got a 2001 Ranger XLT, 4.0 SOHC, problem is that when i'm going and try to accelerate it goes and cuts out, goes, cuts out, and jerks like its getting half the power it should be, replaced my fuel filter, trucks only got 27k miles on it, I've been thinking maybe its the MAF sensor but I really don't know where to begin. It's the process of elimination but i've eliminated all the probables.. all the grounds looked good, wiring all fine, fuel pumps 65 psi~ so really.. anybody got an idea where to start? clean the MAF?

I really have no idea but while you're under the hood, you could clean the IAC. Idle Air Control..

I would clean the IAC and while doing that take the time to clean your throttle body.
Do you know the last time the plugs/wires were replaced?
Also check the coil pack it maybe cracked. Check plug wires that may have the covering worn off.

all those plugs n wires are factory,

ill try cleaning the IAC n throttle body next time i'm at work, all the wires looked fine, the coil pack also looked fine. So i'll try cleaning that.. in the mean time other opinions are welcome, any specific cleaner?

it could be the transmission filter if its an automatic... cause on my dodge the filter got clogged and when that happens you can punch it and the engine will rev up but you will go nowhere.. all the torque goes away... so i would check that. if that is not it i would check all the above things and i would say the cats maybe.. if the ceramics broke inside it creates a ton of backpressure.. but i would think if that was the case it would set off the O2 sensor

Nope. A set of nice new Autolite or Motorcraft brand plugs would be a good start.
