o2 sensor question
I was wondering would you be able to take an o2 sensor off a 92 4.0 ranger and put it onto a 96 4.2 f-150 ? And would a loose o2 sensor be hurting my gas mileage because i looked at my o2 sensor and it was so loose i could pretty much pull it out of my exhaust which is not a good thing so i unscrewed it and found out my threads where messed up and couldnt get it to screw back in what should i do that wont be real hard to fix it. But could the o2 sensor still be bad if my truck isnt making my engine light come on ? If you could please teach everyone you know how to work on a vehicle because when someone goes to work on something that is messed up and wont be easy to fix like a stripped out bung for my o2 sensor they arent exactly happy. Because it isnt exactly something you can fix without a welder unless you get some high temp JB weld which is what im thinking save me some money and it will hopefully work because i dont own a welder and dont have anymore money to give to someone to fix it. I know fixing it right is the good way to go but not when you dont have the money to.
DUE TO FINANCIAL PROBLEMS THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL HAS BEEN SHUT OFF LOL
