Default Yet another question about plugs....!

Alright, so it seems there are a ton of threads talking about plugs and which ones to get so forth and so on. Alot of guys say dont get the bosch plugs. My question is WHY? is there any concrete evidence as to why not buy the plugs? Consider this, Fram filters are junk, dont use them. Why? because of the paper end caps that fail. So what is it about the bosch plugs that make them so bad...?

this is one of the reasons. http://www.fordrangerforum.com/4-0-s...id-happen.html

they are junk, period. they might work in other vehicles but for some reason they dont last in the rangers. i found out the hard and expensive way. IMO, stick with MC platinums.

LOL that should be enough evidence for........... I had a bad experience with Bosch also but did not take any pictures. I ran Bosch DP's ($5 each) my engine ate little pin wholes in the top white insulator part of the plug. it caused a P0303. I only had them in the engine for 6k miles. I am running Autolites now

Because they don't work right at best or they fail catastrophically at worst. I've had it happen to me. And I've seen it happened to hundreds of people on various ranger forums for the last 11 years. And simply googling "bosch spark plugs in a ford" yields the same results. If you want a scientific reason, there isn't one that I'm aware of.

The Bosch just are not durable enough for the waste spark system our trucks use.......Bosch are fine for the Euroweenie engines......

Is A Bosche Platinum completely blowing out of the block like a shotgun going 70 mph down the highway concrete evidence enough for you. Yes it really happened to me and I have never bought them since. It could have messed up my truck. It melted the diode end and then just blew it out of the block leaving only the threaded part in the block.

that is all. buy motorcraft

Hondas don't like Bosch plugs either. They don't like their O2 sensors as well. Nothing but problems.

its not that bosch are terrible, its the motorcraft is designed for and by ford, the engineers designed motorcraft to run the best on fords. Bosch is more a generic brand, while motocraft are more factory plugs for fords.

I am kind of worried as to if MC spark plugs are available here in Canada, personally I have yet to see any. Anyone know which canadian stores sells them if they do?
