Default 4.0L OHV Super Chargers Or Turbo's?

Is there any companies that sell and make super chargers for that would work with the 4.0L OHV V6's. Basically I want to super charge my 1994 Ford Ranger 4.0L Ranger. I know that they make super chargers for the newer 4.0L engines. But I cant find any info on super chargers for the 4.0L OHV engines.

If they don't make a super charger for the 4.0L OHV engines, what turbo would be safe to use with a bone stock motor, and how much boost could I run in a stock 4.0L OHV engine?

there aren't any companies that makes any kits anymore.. everything will require some fab work. RPCaster is working on an intake adapter for a m90 as well but it's not in production yet. boost, more people stay with 5psi on an unintercooled setup because of the heat generated, but with an intercooled turbo i'd say 8-10 psi would probably be okay.

how many miles are on the 4.0 and have you done a compression test on the cylinders?

If you are running factory fuel system DO NOT exceed about 5-6 psi (depending on size of turbo ie; cfm)... You'll need injectors, fuel / ignition management, fuel pump(s), Wideband O2 sensor, TUNING, etc... I am in the process of fabbing a turbo setup on my 08 4.0 and there is a lot more to it than just forcing air into the engine. Unless you want to say to your engine.

yup, exactly. you'll also want a fuel pressure gauge, boost gauge, and wideband o2 gauge to keep an eye on your motor so that you know if anything bad is about to happen!
