If i was you, I would replace all fluids and plugs, wires, filters, you know the works. Do it yourself. Its all easy stuff.

especially since there are no records of maintenance.

You could pull one of the plugs and take a look at it, see how bad/good it is. I highly recommend one of the plugs on the driver's side if you do. But, Like DiabloBlanco said, wouldn't be a bad idea to replace at that mileage if you don't have any maintenance records, especially if you it's not running smoothly.

+1....whenever I get a "new car" I go thu it and replace all fluids and do all maintance issue I go through and try to determine what parts are in good shape I do a tunup, cooling and heating hoses etc.......it is pretty easy. most automotive breakdowns can be eliminated by doing scheduled maintenance....

start a spreadsheet including all tools and parts you will need, where you can buy the parts etc?
