Default ignition coil Question

I think I have to replace th ignition coil in the Ranger.
my question is are there better ignition coils out there that help with gas milage, since I am replacing already.
issues I am seeing are missfiring, and poor gas milage, replaced the plugs last wekend check engine light light went away for a week, the spark plug cables are only about a year old. a couple of weeks ago had a hard time starting the truck, and had to jump it, the battery is good, I just kept trying to start it because it sounded like it wanted to start.

i just put a screamin demon one on tonight, i did notice that with the plugs gapped and the new pack on it seems to idle a bit smother. it should in theory help with gas mileage, ill let you guys know what happens.

adding a high power coil pack wont help much.. since the fuel injectors are still stock.. if you had 30lb injectors then a high power coil pack will help but if you run a high output pack, i suggest running 8mm MSD ignition wires.. since the voltage wont bleed off as much and get a good set of plugs too and that will really help
