havent even got it on yet. The parts star messed me tryin to say a damper is the same as a regulator so i dont know which one to try first.

I had the same problem in my 99 ranger, I'm no mechanic.. but my problem was an O2 sensor in bank 2 (or something like that) swapped it out and purr's like a kitten now. B4 that I also tried the MAF without any luck.

i cant remember if the 99 is a DIS ignition system or a distributor type system... i remember i had a dodge with the same problem, i had a O2 sensor lean condition.. but it took a snap on machanic computer with an ocilliscope to rotate the distributor back to the normal position. if the timing on the distributor gets off it will mess up everything including fuel mileage

Well i dont think its that. if idles really really good. n idles just around 1000 rpm. no rolling idle nothing. My friend has a snap on computer and it reads all the 02s are reading what they should. If i were to pull one out and check should i check the last one or the two up closer to the engine?

i think all rangers back to the early 90's are distributor-less ignition systems. For sure his 99 is.

I'm gettin bad gas mileage but no codes or anything, it is the winter so weight in bed is one cause, but what size tank do I have does anyone know, 2002 3.0 engine

So ive put in the regulator. Seems to be getting better gas mileage but still not where it should be i dont think. Its at half a tank now and ive went 114 miles.
