Re: supercharger?
I think you can also get a whipple supercharger to fit on a ranger too. Usually you would send your cars computer to them to have them recode it for you.

Re: supercharger?
so im looking at the x charger kit cause it comes with the supercharger the other supercharger from banshee doesnt include the supercharger and i dont feel like running around trying to find a decent one.. and it also doesnt look like it has the 30lb fuel injectors either. or a tuner to tweak the computer.. but it looks like it has everything else to make the job complete.. do have a couple questions about this though... i hope it doesnt mess up my computer or anything like that. cause that is my major question right now.. and how much would one of these cost?

Re: supercharger?
Not trying to be an ass. I was just gonna throw this out there. If you really want more power and your willing to spend that kind of money, why not an engine swap. You could get a 5.0 and have more power than you would with that supercharger. Like I said it's your money and your choice. I was suggesting.

Re: supercharger?
same here.. i dont really know how to do an engine swap either... it seems like alot of work. finding a motor that is in good condition and then rebuilding it with new heads and boring and things like that cost a fortune now days.. even a new ford engine 5.0L from summitracing is over 5000 bucks.. and yes it would be more efficent to get a V8 but im not so sure if it would fit.. plus getting a new computer and all those things, plus im in the military so i dont have alot of free time to be doing an engine swap. maybe later but not now.. and i dont see you being a jerk cause you really do make a good point. a V8 would double the power of my 4.0L right now. and yes the x charger kit does have fuel injectors and a tuner by bamachips

Re: supercharger?
A 5.0 isn't that hard to swap. It is the easiest swap to do. It fits easy and most of the eletrical hooks right up. You need motor, tranny, axel, gears, and conversion kit for the eletrical. If you buy the motor and tranny off craigslist it is actually not that expensive.

Re: supercharger?
see i dont know a dang thing about transmissions other than it has a ton of gears in it and they are a pain if they break or wear out. i have a automatic so i want to keep that but i dont want to swap out axels and transmissions and torque converters and all that stuff just to change a motor.. and craigslist is a great option but like i said i dont have a place to store a spare motor or transmission or axel for that matter... a supercharger is smaller and it will fit in my backseat until i decide to install it. but i thank you for your opinion. and plus converting all that stuff there is a good chance that all that new stuff could go wrong. and right now my truck is still under warranty so all the gears and axels and stuff are still covered.
