2002 edge + supercharger = ?
hey guys i got a 2002 edge 4wd 4.0L V6 SOHC, i got a pretty big truck list of things im putting on an most of it is pretty basic or simple to understand but one thing on the list is a supercharger.
this is my everyday driver and weekend off roader so its not like some expensive custom ranger or special project so its not just for speed or anything. i guess im wondering what i need to make it functional and work properly, besides the supercharger what else do i need? im still researching the idea so any info is welcomed. thanks guys.

you have 2 routes.
explorer express http://www.explorerexpress.com/xchar...ice-p-768.html i believe its around the $3-4k mark for it and the tuner. you would have to call. very good kit... then there is the RPcaster kit ... http://www.bansheesupercharger.com/pages/page3.htm around $1600 WITH OUT supercharger. you need to find a 3.8L thunderbird supercoupe supercharger the one with the oval inlet. you can get these for around $100-$800 depending on condition and how much you hunt around. rebuild kits are very simple to find for this charger too its a M90 charger but you need that exact kind there is many different M90 versions. you can run this kit with out a tune on a 4.0L SOHC as long as you keep the original 5.5 psi pulley. its highly recommended that you get a tune, dyno or even a plug and play tune for the supercharger either will work. both kits are great one WAY more expansive and complex then the other. choose your poison

so if i pay more money and get the explorer one, itll come with everything and come all at once so no hunting ect?
i plan on getting this down the road so more money isnt an issue if i know its all gonna sync together etc

sorry to HIJACK! but What is the difference in a supercharger and Turbo? Which is better and what is cheaper?...probally not the same one hahah
