Question New or rebuild

So when i go to crank my truck in the morning all it does is click, doesnt try try turn the motor or nothing, after a minute of steadily turning the key back and forth it will finally engage properly, i'm wondering if yall think i should get it rebuilt or just buy a new one

doesnt sound like an engine problem. My 93 did that for a while, I replaced the starter, still did it. Turned out the battery terminals were so corroded it had a bad contact. I cleaned them with water and baking soda and a wire brush and it never did it again.

what r u referring to? engine or starter? ....probably the battery, clean all connections, my truck has brass link near relay panel, (in main hot cable) just happen to notice it one day (fiddling) i cleaned it and made a huge difference in starting and how it charges, even in light projection..

Im referring to the starter, but i know it isnt the battery terminal i just cleaned them, and put some di-electric grease on them to prevent them from corroding

Idk Clinton could be right. Because mine did the same thing till i acutally replaced the terminals. They ended up corroding the internal battery wire. I got brass terminals and they stopped corroding and it starts on single turn of the key.

Well i hate half assing things, it cost more money and time that way, but that isnt the problem, its gonna be in the starter itself, the magnet is pushing the gwar out, but the starter isnt turning the flywheel itself, probably just gonna put a new one on and upgrade all that wire ro 2gauge welding lead wire while im doing it
