Default Replaced fuel pump - now have evap leak - slow leak detected

Hey guys, I just put in a used fuel pump I got from a junkyard cause mine was garbage. Anyways that fixed the problem I was having with the truck not firing right away. After driving 1 full tank and a fill-up the check engine light came on and the code said I had a Slow EVAP Leak.

After doin a search it looks like that could be anything from a gas cap to a vacuum leak to a bad evap canister purge valve or something. I guess I was wondering how you would go about checking that purge valve to see if it was working properly...and as to the vacuum leaks, is the best way to just start your truck and get underneath and feel, look, and listen around or what?

Also my MPG went from about 16 MPG to just over 14 MPG...maybe that would help pinpoint the problem area??
