Default Clutch Fluid Reservoir Question

Unfortunately my new-to-me truck seems to have some problems shifting into first and second gear (it has a manual 5 speed transmission). I had a similar problem with an old toyota that I had a few years ago, so I decided to try and check the clutch fluid. I have found the reservoir, a small black cylinder on the driver's side next to the brake fluid...but I can't for the life of me figure out how to open it. I've tried twisting, pulling, pushing, everything that I can think of. Am I missing a button or something? Any advice will help.

Usually you just twist it.

Thanks for the quick replies, it does work like a pill bottle after all. It was stuck closed with a bunch of dirt and crud in the grooves. Found a bunch of yellow gunk beneath the odd rubber piece as well. Low on fluid, and the fluid that's in it is yellow and gunky....great.
