Exclamation Removing throttle cable from Throttle Body 1999 4.0 OHV

I'm trying to get my throttle body off to clean it. But I can't seem to remove the throttle cable OR the hose connected to the bottom of the throttle body.

And yes I have looked at the How to clean the throttle body in the forum but my engine is different than the one shown, therefor... its a little bit different on my truck. my cruise control is connected to the throttle cable from the gas pedal with a plastic piece and I have tried and tried to remove it but I don't want to break it. and the rubber hose connected to the bottom of the throttle body is on there really good. I'm not sure what to do... and I can't really post pictures since my computer doesn't have a card reader for my camera...

So... how do you do this?

Yeah I realize that now. you don't even need to take the cruise control throttle cable off, it comes off with the gas pedal throttle cable since it is just attached to it with a piece of plastic that clips on with a pin through the end to hold it on. I just took a flat head screwdriver and stuck it in between the clip and the rounded thing it is on attached to the throttle body and it popped right off. Kinda felt stupid after I stood there for 15 minutes staring at it. lmfao It was so easy once I realized what I had to do. Just one of those days I guess lol brain fart :P

[Edit] - Went ahead and described what I did to help anyone else that might be having problems... even though you shouldn't lol

thanks though and I went ahead and did the air box mod too very nice yes yes
