Default Exhaust change / Yes or No ?

Guys, I have plans of changing my exhaust system from just behind the cat
which is 2.5" pipe to 2.5" from there to the Magnaflow muffler, then 2.5" pipe duals from there out.
My question is........ Will this cause a problem anywhere, with any sensor, because of reduction in back pressure?

I need your insight or experiences please.

2.5" from the cat to the muffler is perfect. If you're going dual tailpipes, go 2" or 2.25". I opted for 2.25" dual tailpipes as the piping is thicker walled and it promotes slightly deeper tone compared to 2". I do sometimes think the sizing is a little large for the engine size/power output, but sound is great and deeeep and powerful with low interior resonance.

Of course, Magnaflow was far too mellow for my tastes when I ran one....Flowmaster Super 44 followed very closely by the Super 40 are the winners on this motor in my book.

Have the shop chop off the stock 2-bolt ball flange behind the last cat and replace it with a 3-bolt 2.5" flange. This way you don't have it going from 2.5" down to 2" then back up to 2.5" after the stock flange.

I could post pics of my system later on my computer.

well since i have question on the same topic im lookin to put in a super 44 as well but the 2.5" in/dual out doesnt have an offset input like our stock one does but the 3" in/2.5" dual out does. does it matter if i get the offset or not and if i do will a notice a sound difference from the 3" input and 2.5" input?

I would think that the muffler shop could make an "s" pipe for the input side to
tuck the muffler up into the frame of the truck more.
I know I wont allow them put mine in hanging down to drag on anything.

Thanks, I will go with the Super 44.

Side/center/offset inlet don't matter......if you have exhaust hung the shop is 100% capable of making whatever you bring in work. I have a 3" offset in/dual 2.5" out hung under mine using 2.5" pipe and 2.25" tailpipes. You can bring in a center in/dual out and they'll figure it out. If they can't, they don't know what they're doing. lol. Hell my offset in isn't closer to the ground....it's towards the bed floor! lol.
