Jet chips power programmer ?
Ordering some items at the moment for a 4 litre Ranger (1994) - came across Jet Chips Power Programmer - are they any good? Or are there better options?
A bit of extra power would be good!
Thanks for any advice

How does it work? I ask because most of the programmers work off of the OBD II port which came in 95, you have the OBD I port. Not sure what they have available for the OBD I.

Ok I see that it does not use the OBD II port. I am unaware of the true results of the Jet chip.

i have the jet performance programer but its for my 03 ranger. the performance gains were amazing but it all depends on how you set it up like for low octane fuel for lil increase of power or 93 octane for full blown power. i have mine set up on 93 and i got almost 32hp but it depends like i said on the fuel you set it up on. you can change the settings on the programer anytime and as many times you want also.

Many thanks - certainly sounds like worth giving a go. Are they easy to install - I can do basics but not the greatest mechanic!
Thanks

I'm thinking about getting one too, cause my '99 5speed 4.0 defently needs a little more nut. the highest octane we have here in maine is only 91, soo what setting could i do. also ACY where did you find the programmer?
And one other thing, is a cai like a k&n intake system worth getting for our rangers ?

Found the programmer at the following link
Race Pages - 1994 Ford Ranger Power Programmer Performance/Accessory
Certainly sounds like a good way for some more power.
Actually have pretty good octane petrol in the UK - just petrol is so expensive - about $7.7 per gallon!
