Default EGR valve!?!

I have a 94 ranger with the 4.0l v6 in it an I can not/does not have an egr valve. Has anyone else heard of this?

Most engines since the 70s have EGR valves. Yours should be right next to the throttle body. It looks like a spaceship with a vacuum hose coming off the top.

Oh I know bro u have a 91 Ranger I put a 302 in. This truck. Just doesnt seem to have one. I have looked in every book I can think of for where it might be an looked top to bottom.

Stock sized Sony xplode with triple tweeters in doors road gear 6x9 in rear panels an two jenssen X 12" subs with a 2500 lightening amp on a pioneer head unit. Last but not least afterburner fog lamps

2000 ranger 4.0L OHV EFI
I passed by the dealer he checked and no egr system on my truck.With my vin #
and 8th digit X he confirmed my truck was built before july 2000 and no egr system.Told me lean code was a vacuum problem. After reading all the help on this site i found and repaired the problem. I changed the 3 rubber gaskets on the upper intake manifold. Truck runs great and no more check engine.
