Does anyone know if a 2003 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 4.0 come with a standard fan clutch or a heavy duty/severe fan clutch?

I recently replaced the old, cracked fan blade with an OEM Motorcraft #YA-242 11-blace fan. The pitch on the fan blades is around 2". Definitely less than 2 1/2". I also replaced the original fan clutch with a new Hayden #2904 Sever fan clutch thinking "more is better."

It now seems that the fan clutch is on almost all the time. It also makes a lot more noise than before. In hindsight, I'm wondering if I should have installed a standard fan clutch instead of the sever fan clutch. I can't seem to find out which one came standard with the truck.

Update:

Swapped out the Hayden sever fan clutch with a U.S. Motor Works #22166 standard fan clutch. All's quiet now! Fan blades measured 2 1/8", so the standard fan clutch was definitely the right one.
