Chronic miss fire. Have changed spark plugs, coil pack, and spark plug wires. Motorcraft plugs , coil pack, NAPAs best spark plug wires.
Rans great for a month or so and then misfire starts all over again.
Have been told it is carbon tracking. I have replaced the coil pack twice,
Replaced the wires two times. And replaced the two plugs that misfired
Twice. # 3&4 each time carbon tracking is present, in the boot and on the plugs. I also replaced the boots on # 3&4. I have paid to have this work done. I am not a mechanic or have the smarts to figure out the problem.
New to the form. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I hade the same problem when I did plugs and wires, ran great for a few weeks then went straight back to the same garbage. Dont know if this helps knock something off the list, but 4&5 were 100% trashed and the other 4 were pretty bad, didnt look out of the ordinary for 220k mile plugs; white, no blackness at all and still ran like trash. Like I said, ran great after the plugs and wires with tons of power again, but went right back to it after a few weeks.
